The necklace itself is woven from European 6 in 1 and made from stainless steel, for both strength and cleanliness. The large bondage ring is permanently welded shut, and can take a good tug.

This necklace clasps in the back via a small removable clip, and can alternatively be tied up with ribbon, suede, or rope, or can even be secured by a small padlock.
