Purple Maille Bikini Top 3 by Utopia-Armoury Purple Maille Bikini Top 3 by Utopia-Armoury
Crystal modeling a purple stretchy chainmail bikini top, done in anodized aluminum and neoprene rubber.

The anodized aluminum gives a bold splash of color to accentuate any outfit, whereas the neoprene gives just the right amount of stretch to gently cup around your curves, accentuating them in just the right way.

These tops are extremely comfortable and light, weighing only a half pound, and tie in the back and at the neck with a wide satin ribbon for the ultimate in comfort and adjustability. These bikini tops are completely street-legal; nothing can be seen through the weave. Bikini tops in this style sell for $150 in a variety of colors.

I was looking through your bikini top gallery and this woman seems to have the biggest boobs in all your images, and I point that out because as someone with perhaps 3 times the size chest I was wondering just how supportive these bras are? And what sizes you are willing to create up to? Have you ever made a bra in a K cup, and if so, how supportive was it, and if not what is the biggest size you've done and how supportive was that?

Tops come as big as they need to! However, I would feel uncomfortable making a top for you without an in-person fitting. If you happen to live in the tri-state area, this can be done with relative ease! Email me, I check my email with much more frequency than I do deviant. Utopia.armoury@gmail.com

Ahh it's a shame, I don't even live in America :P. And travelling costs are out of the question at the moment, unfortunately. But thanks for the quick response! Perhaps in the future, my partner and I want to visit america one day and one of your awesome bras would be a brilliant souvenir!

Thanks, glad you like. Actually, there's no issue with sun unless you're not moving, and even then it's not too bad. The aluminum acts like a radiator and effectively transfers heat from the air and from your body, meaning it's comfortable to wear on hot days.

pretty nice :)
i was thinking on real hot days that it would be too hot to put on, and for some reason (whatever reason it is for a person to be wearing it on a cold day) it would be real cold!

Nah, hot is no problem... Cold, however... The same principle works regardless of the temperature; when it's really cold out the aluminum will very quickly suck heat out of you and radiate it outward..

This is quite impressive. What size rings did you use for this? Also how long did it take you to make it?

Thanks! Ring sizes are 14 and 16-ga 5/16" anodized aluminum, and 16g 5/16" neoprene rubber. I'd estimate a top like this takes about 4-5 hours of work, depending on size.

Glad you like it!

I have a question, where are the 16ga aluminum rings? I assume that the bulk of the cup is done in the 14ga 5/16 aluminum and the 16ga 5/16 neoprene. Are the 16's at the straps and the top part of the cups? Just curious :D

The band at the top is done in 16, as I like the look/feel of the weave in that size, but the cups would be see-through if they were 16 as well.

ah, see thats what i was thinking. the 14 is tighter with the rubber, making them a little more modest. thanks for the info! great piece btw :)

Wow! That seems like a very short time. I'm sure it will take me longer when I get around to making it. Hehe. Thank you for responding!

ok maybe i've had too many ciders tonight, but i can barely see the necklace she is modelling. I clicked on the image and i see her, I don't even see the jewelry. And I had to figure out why some of thewomen in your photos were under metalwork.....seemed like a lil comfy lesbo thingy going on. That's fine, pretty chicks to demostrate the jewelry at least. but i don't want to look at someone else's boobs if i'm interested in buying jewelry, nor would i want them to be in someone else's boobs lol.

I actually re-read your comment three times before I decided to reply.

The first thing that I want you to do is re-read the TITLE of this deviation. After you've done that, re-read the description.

I don't want to give away the big surprise, but this isn't a picture of her necklaces.

Thanks, glad you like it. It's done mostly in european 4 in 1, with a band of 6 in 1 at the top.

well i'm glad you make it. seing such things always inspires me.

okay, i thought it kinda looked like persian at first, but i guess that'd be a bit rough, and way to time consuming to actually make more than a few.
i've got a question about the neopreen though.
1 is it true that it can stretch far enough to be able to put it on without any clasps on the back?
2 do they weaken as they age, like most rubber compounds?

Yes, the neoprene is completely stretchy, and straps can be done so that there's no clasp or tie, and it just stretches; the stretch keeping tension on the piece and keeping it where it needs to be. These tops, however, don't have that going on - the back and neck are tied with wide satin ribbon going through a 14g 1/2" link.

It will weaken with age but it's not that drastic. I've found more that it will loosen up and soften a little with age as opposed to the material getting more brittle.

ah, that´s awesome. i was thinking of making some bracelets with some neoprene rings so you can slide it on, rather than using clasps
i´ve seen others do that on here before, but i have to order neoprene rings from the usa, and that´s expensive. so i won´t unless i know what i get.
