Blue Maille Bikini Top II by Utopia-Armoury Blue Maille Bikini Top II by Utopia-Armoury
Made from anodized aluminum and latex-free EPDM rubber. The anodized aluminum gives a bold splash of color to accentuate any outfit, whereas the rubber gives just the right amount of stretch to gently cup around your curves, accentuating them in just the right way.

These tops are extremely comfortable and light, weighing only a half pound, and tie in the back and at the neck with a wide satin ribbon for the ultimate in comfort and adjustability. These bikini tops are completely street-legal; nothing can be seen through the weave, and are completely waterproof/swim friendly.

This top is done in blue anodized aluminum, with white EPDM latex-free rubber, and the upper band of the bikini top fades from dark blue in the center, to a lighter blue, to finally mirror-polished bright aluminum as it goes up behind the head. This top fits from an A to a midsized B cup; the back and neck straps are adjustable for different band sizes.

Really gorgeous work. They all are. What ring size and gauge do you use for your bras? I'm looking to make one but i'm not sure what size and gauge i need to purchase.

Thanks, I'm really glad you like my work. I don't give out ring sizes, generally - Here's a rather bitter explanation as to why: [link]

Same price as normal - $150 - but those prices are probably going up soon.

I thought that bright aluminum dulled with the chlorine from swimming pools. Does it not? I've made a few bracelets and I have been taking them off before swimming because I read somewhere that they tarnish in chlorine water.
It'd be really awesome if they don't!

I also really love the way this style of bikini fits without being -pointy- at the seam.

Thanks, glad you like my work.

I've never heard of BA dulling in chlorinated water, but now it's something that I'm going to have to test... now to just find a friend with a pool...

The splash of color was wonderful. At first glance, one will not ever think it was made of latex.

Actually, although the white rings are rubber, they're non-latex rubber, so they're hypo-allergenic, too!

Very beautiful!

I don't mean to pry into your business secrets, but is that a 45 degree seam in the middle of the cup? I just ordered the supplies to make my own bikini top, and I'm curious how you made your's.

Thanks, glad you like it.

It's *sort of* a 45 degree seam, with a couple variations, mostly where the cups meet the band. I describe it as an offset 45 degree seam, if that makes any sense at all. Good luck with your top and post pics when it's done!

I don't know if you made it that way deliberately or not, but to me it just looks like it's on upside down. :O.o:

Looks good though. Is it stretchy?

Newp, all my tops are deliberately like this - a lot of people think that they're upside down, but that's part of what makes them all fit so well.

The rubber rings are quite stretchy, which lift, curve, and cup, while the denser band at the top actually tends to pull the girls in to the center a little bit and hold them up where they should be.

It's all intentional - I've been working on this pattern for about 4 years, and I've only had it down pat for the last year or so.

Glad you like it!
